At the World Championships in volleyball, except for Malvina Smažek, we will not see the talented Martina Chirnyanskaya, who dropped out due to injury. The recipient decided to be honest about her feelings when she heard the diagnosis.
The World Volleyball Championship starts on Friday, September 23rd. Recall that this year the championship will be held in Poland and the Netherlands and will last until October 11. The Poles will play their matches in the first group stage, in which they played against such teams as: Turkey, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Thailand and Croatia.
At this tournament, except for Malvina Smazzek, we will not see 18-year-old Martina Cirnianska. The owner of the Polish national team was injured at the training camp before sparring matches in Germany. TVP Sport journalists talked to the volleyball player about this injury.
- During training, my stomach suddenly hurt so much that I could not attack. I had to quit training, she said, adding that the next day it turned out that she had a torn rectus abdominis muscle.
The football player told TVP Sport journalists that she has the opportunity to go to the World Cup, but her injury could worsen. - There were such conversations, but I’m not going to rehab for another month or two after that. I want to heal everything and return for the season,” she admitted, adding that she was not ready to leave and, in her opinion, every player of her age would have done so.
Martina Chirnanska: I couldn’t resist
Before the player made such a decision, she admitted that she could not cope with the fact that she had an injury and she could leave the volleyball world championship. “I just wanted to cry for two days,” she said.
After the knee injury, I hoped that nothing would happen again this season. However, life surprised me. I was not ready for this,” she admitted.
Martina Chirnyanskaya admitted in an interview that she had not yet come to terms with the fact that she would not go to the World Championships, but “convinced herself” that this had already been done.
Finally, the recipient reported that the rehabilitation was going according to plan and that she was in good hands. - When I was at the doctor’s office, he said that he expected it to be worse. It’s better than he thought, though still imperfect, she concluded.
