PiS above the law? “They do not take the Polish state seriously, but as their own private economy”

Reasons for protection should be clear

- There is no doubt that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should disclose the reasons why Kursky was granted protection. Tomczyk emphasizes that in Poland there are rules that clearly regulate the provision of state protection.

- Rules are for people who want to use and follow them. These provisions have been structured in such a way that if there is a reasonable suspicion that someone may be in danger, the Minister of the Interior can grant him such protection. However, the State Security Service should not be confused with a security agency because they are not the same thing. If the former president of the TVP, who has never performed any state functions, is given SOP protection, then this is confusion with confusion and a giant scandal at the expense of the taxpayer. That is why Mr. Kursky must pay every penny of the cost of such protection in the future, - emphasizes Cesary Tomczyk.

Krzysztof Gawkowski of the left is also convinced that PiS politicians, both former and current, abuse protection because they “think they simply deserve it.”

- Kursky has no right to anything, because, as the president of the TVP, he knew that he was a public figure. When he passed away, he remains the same as any politician. Therefore, the grant of protection must always be clear. President Kaczynski should oblige Minister Kaminsky, who heads the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, to show whether there were grounds for granting this protection. Unfortunately, everything points to the fact that he was granted protection illegally, says Krzysztof Gawkowski in an interview with Fakt. - Provisions for granting protection should be clear, but at the same time open. They should create the feeling that no one is abusing the security or company vehicle. If someone in Poland abuses this, it is primarily arrogant people, and PiS is full of such people.

“National treasures must be protected”

Marek Savik, a PSL member of parliament, has no doubt that the interior minister will not disclose the reasons for protecting Jacek Kurski.

- After all, national treasures must be protected. No one has done more for PiS and its propaganda in the last 30 years than Jacek Kurski. Jerzy Urban could learn from him if he were younger, - Sawicki ironically. - Today, when it comes to the SOP, it is no longer the security service of the government and the most important people in the state, but a taxi with public money for the needs of important PiS politicians on a private service. These are the functions of a maid, housekeeper, butler. Like the aristocracy, PiS serves for our money.

Savitsky, like Tomczyk, notices that the ruling party does not comply with the law.

- In Poland there are provisions regulating protection. the problem is that they are not respected. They clearly state that only the most important people in the country should be protected: the prime minister, deputy prime ministers and not all, the minister of finance, foreign and internal affairs. In the free Republic of Poland after 1989, it happened that in the face of threats for a month or two, someone was given additional protection. But now, under PiS, this has changed and SOPs are made for maids or butlers. It was PiS who contributed the SOP. This above-standard protection is also included in the rules, but PiS may have thrown these instructions in the trash a long time ago, says Marek Sawicki.

Yakub Kulesha, a member of the Confederation, also advocates that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Administration reveal the reasons for protecting Kursk.

- However, representatives of the PiS proved long ago that they do not take the Polish state seriously, but as their own private economy. There were many situations in which PiS politicians who did not hold office, who were given such protection, were numerous, for example, ex-minister Antoni Macierewicz, now the same goes for Jacek Kurski, who wanted to be a minister and cannot for a second part with the privileges of the authorities, such as a driver, a secretary, that he is abusing the state apparatus. This is a violation of the law, Kulesha has no doubts about it. - The regulations clearly spell out who and under what conditions has the right to protection, and we, the taxpayers, pay for all this.

A person who does not perform any public functions in Poland, and such a person is Jacek Kurski, does not deserve privileges under any rules, such as security, driver, etc.
