On Wednesday, February 22, a court hearing has been scheduled in the case of accusing a people’s deputy of Ukraine of trying to bribe patrol policemen.

“Given the completeness and indisputability of the evidence collected by the SAPO and NABU as part of the pre-trial investigation, the MP initiated the conclusion of an agreement on the recognition of guilt. In view of this, it is planned to approve an agreement on the recognition of guilt between the SAPO prosecutor and the accused at the meeting.”- noted in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

According to Obshchestvennoye, the agreement states that People’s Deputy Oleksandr Trukhin must transfer 6 million hryvnias to the account of the United24 project for the Army of Drones. It is proposed to change the measure of restraint for the deputy from bail, which was elected in September last year, to a personal obligation, and the amount of the bail should also be transferred to the needs of the Ukrainian army.

Recall that an accident involving a car with a people’s deputy occurred in August 2021, but this case received wide publicity after the publication of a video from the patrol’s chest camera in the media. At this time, the phrase “I will quietly go into the forest” became famous. Then six people were injured on the Boryspil highway. People’s Deputy assured that he was not driving a car. In February last year, he was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.
