Ukraine, defeating Russia, will become a member of the European Union.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech at the European Parliament.
The head of the Ukrainian state believes that the EU is preparing a positive assessment of the internal reforms of Ukraine, which is modernizing its institutions, while defending itself in an all-out war against Russia.
“We are approaching the European Union. Ukraine will be a member of the European Union. The victorious Ukraine is a member of the victorious European Union”, the president said.
Zelensky also noted that for Ukraine the path to Europe is “the path home.”
“We are defending ourselves against the most anti-European force of the modern world and must defend ourselves … Will this be possible if we do not overcome this anti-European force that seeks to steal Europe from us? No. Only our victory guarantees all this, each of our common European values, our obligatory victory”, - he said.
The President thanked the deputies of the European Parliament for defending the European way of life with their decisions.
Recall that today Zelensky arrived in Brussels to speak at the European Parliament and attend the EU summit.
