Armed companies in the United States and Britain are working to create protection against hypersonic missiles, which are called the weapons of the future and are actively tested by Russia and China.

The Telegraph writes that the head of the British Cohort, Andy Tomis, said that his company is working on a project to defeat weapons that can move five times faster than the speed of sound. He called the work on the project a real challenge.

Raytheon Missiles & Defense Director Wes Kremer says his company is still in the initial stages of developing anti-missile weapons. Currently, experts are studying types of ultra-fast rockets.

The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said that soon the total number of Himars systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine would reach twenty.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is sure that Western partners will provide Ukraine with shells for HIMARS missile systems, which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 300 kilometers. But, according to him, in order to go on the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine must receive about a hundred HIMARS systems.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated the work of HIMARS in the Zaporozhye direction.

In addition, the Ukrainian military, with the help of the American HIMARS MLRS, destroyed two command posts of the Russian army.
