In November 2022, the Japanese entertainment company made an exciting announcement by revealing the first trailer for their latest kaiju movie. This film marks a milestone as it is the first domestic production of Godzilla in Japan since the release of the wonderful Godzilla movie. Shin Godzilla in 2016.
The trailer shows Japan still recovering from World War II and states that “Japan has lost everything”. It shows warships bound for the Pacific Ocean, where nuclear explosions suggest that the film will directly include the famous nuclear tests around islands like Bikini Atoll, which ended up destroying the ecosystem in the area. And, apparently, the new Godzilla is deeply unhappy with all these nuclear explosions.

Although this is Toho’s first Godzilla picture in seven years, the big guy has been very busy on the other side of the Pacific, appearing in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and their 2021 sequel. godzilla vs kong since then. This film will continue in Godzilla x Kong: New Empire, scheduled to be released March 15 next year. Godzilla will also appear in Monarch: Legacy of the Monstersspin-off of the Legendary Pictures series due out next year.
