After the mysterious disappearance of Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Peters) in Rosewood, Pennsylvania by Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hail), Spencer Hastings (Trojan Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) must go on with their lives without her. A year after her disappearance, the girls receive messages from someone named A who knows their secrets, leading them to uncover a web of deception and people against them.
They believe it is Alison, but begin to discover that there are people against them for being friends with Alison. They must find out who A is in order to save themselves from revealing their secrets. 10 Jenna Marshall
Jenna Marshall (English)Tammin Sursok) is a neighbor of Alison DiLaurentis and a victim of pranks by Alison and her friend. Alison and her friends spot her having an affair with her stepbrother Toby Kavanaugh (Keegan Allen). She forced Toby into a relationship with her because she was in love with him.
She is blinded by Alison and becomes part of the A-Team out of jealousy and hatred towards Alison and her friends. She is an aggressive and manipulative person. She deeply hates Alison and her friends. She is jealous of Toby’s other relationship due to her infatuation with him.
9 Ezra Fitz
Ezra Fitz (English)Ian Harding) is the new English teacher at Rosewood High School. He begins a romantic relationship with Aria Montgomery. When they first met, Ezra didn’t realize she was in high school because he assumed she was in college.
He is thoughtful and romantic. Attentive, with a writer’s temperament, with a laid-back attitude. Aria finds out that he knew Alison and was writing a novel about her life that led to their breakup. They eventually reunite and marry.
8 Toby Cavanaugh
Toby Cavanaugh is considered an outsider and he starts dating Spencer Hastings. Toby has had a hard life and learns that life in Rosewood is not what it seems. Toby is shy and honest. Considered an outcast, he is protective of Spencer. He is a good person to have next to him.
He is suspected of and convicted of Alison’s murder, pleads not guilty, and ultimately clears his name. His excuse for being part of the A-Team was to keep Spencer safe. He begged her to forgive him, and they got back together.
7 Mrs Hastings
Mrs. Veronica Hastings (Leslie Fera) Spencer’s mother and she is a lawyer. She does everything in her power to use her powers to protect her daughters from Rosewood’s harm. She dares to solve any problem.
She is divorcing her husband Peter Hastings (Nolan North) after the lies and deceit he created for their family. She learns about her family’s lies, makes decisions against all odds, and becomes a useful ally for the girls.
6 Mona Vanderwaal
Mona Vanderwaal (English)Janelle Parrish) is a new IT girl at Rosewood before she became an outsider. She is cold and doesn’t care about others due to Alison terrorizing her. She thinks about her well-being and struggles to deal with her emotions.
In the second season, Monet was diagnosed with DID, dissociative identity disorder. She uses her talents to get others to do things for her. She was sent to the Radley Sanitarium, and this created even more problems for the girls. She eventually becomes an ally of the girls when she soon realizes who is really behind the “A” team.
5 Caleb Rivers
Caleb Rivers (ur.Tyler Blackburn) is a bad boy from Rosewood, and he falls in love with Hannah Marin. He is romantic and resourceful. He has thick skin due to his rough family life. Because of this, he may appear aloof. He is sweet and caring and will do anything to protect Hannah and her friends.
He used to be Jenna’s spy, but soon realizes that Jenna only wanted to protect herself. She becomes a hacker and helps the girls learn useful information about the A-Team. He tried to outsmart the A-Team. In the finale, he married Hannah in an intimate ceremony.
4 Emily Fields
Emily Fields is the captain of the swim team, and she’s hiding her secret. Alison described her as being able to see the good in people and the light of the world. She loved Alison more than a friend, she realized her sexuality. Alison used her and scolded her for liking girls. She was shy and reserved, and she never dated anyone.
She only thought about other people and never about herself. Having come to terms with her personality, she became more confident in herself. She is sweet and caring. She will do anything to protect her friends. Her compassion for others can affect her relationships because she is too trusting. She has a good heart, and despite a difficult past, she remains true to her beliefs.
3 Aria Montgomery
Aria Montgomery is kind and understands people deeply. She is loyal to her friends and sensitive. She is not afraid to say something or be ready to fight her enemies. She is not afraid to talk about what is wrong. In the pilot episode, she keeps the secret of her father’s affair.
She becomes romantically involved with Ezra Fitz and begins to care deeply for him. She begins to distance herself from her family because they disapprove of their relationship, but does everything in her power to show her love for him and her friends.
2 Spencer Hastings
Spencer Hastings is smart and she feels the need to be perfect all the time in order to be in direct competition with her sister Melissa. She is ready to do anything to win. She has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder due to the many situations she has been in. She does questionable things for fear of disappointing her parents and being overshadowed by her sister.
She has a single-minded nature, and this sometimes leads to her downfall. She is protective of her friends and finds it hard to let go when the going gets tough. She is defensive and has learned to control several aspects of her personality. She begins to understand who she wants to be in life and marries Toby.
1 Hanna Marin
Hanna Marin becomes an IT girl with Mona. She falls in love with Caleb and was previously known as Hefty Hannah. She is rude and reserved with everyone she meets due to seeing the worst in people. She is not easy to trust. Behind the facade of a tough girl hides a caring and loyal friend.
She is full of energy and feels comfortable in the spotlight. She brings spontaneity and humor to the group. She was an insecure girl because of her weight, and many people made fun of her. She overcomes her insecurities and becomes a strong independent woman. She has the happy ending she always deserved.
