Meeting your partner’s parents tends to be a concern for most people. However, this does not seem to be the case for Adam Devine in the first trailer for the latest action-packed comedy from Netflix, Outlaw. Excited as ever to meet his fiancee’s parents for the first time - nonetheless at their wedding - Devine’s Owen Browning is about to face the shock and mystery of his life as he not only tries to win over his future in-laws, but get to the bottom of the mystery. in which they may simply be the center.
In the trailer, we meet Owen (Devine) and his fiancée Parker (Nina Dobrev). It’s clear from the gate that Owen is much more excited about meeting Parker’s parents than she is. While it may seem strange that the first meeting happens just as the couple exchange vows, Owen explains to his friend that his future in-laws have been “off the grid” throughout their relationship. Charming with a golden retriever personality, Owen is eager to introduce himself and his family to their new expanded members, but that’s all it takes. Parker’s parentsPierce Brosnan And Ellen Barkin) are dissatisfied with the choice of her husband’s daughter, but when they find out that he is the head of the security service at the bank, their opinion suspiciously changes. After two thugs ransack a bank vault, Owen promotes his future in-laws to the top of the list of suspects - an accusation in which he will be more than correct.
Replenishment of the ensemble cast, Outlaw also stars Michael Rooker (guardians of the galaxy franchise), Julie Hagerty (Airplane!), Purna Jagannathan (Night), Richard Kind (Curb Enthusiasm), Lauren Lapkus (Orange is the new black), Lil Rel Hovery (Get out), Laci Mosley (Ah Carly), and a frequent collaborator of Divine and workaholics co-star, Blake Anderson.
