Available to order through Waxwork Records, the $40.00 vinyl consists of 36 tracks released as a deluxe double LP with splattered blue and red vinyl. Intrusive Crimson Peak According to Waxwork Records’ product description, the soundtrack combined elements of a “full orchestra filled with terrifying lines, waltz, dark and moody tracks, combined with passionate and romantic themes of love.”
Crimson Peak Represents Del Toro at its best
Del Toro has created many visually appealing films over the years, whether indie projects or big-budget productions. Behind many successful titles, including Devil’s backbone, Blade 2, HellboyAnd Pan’s Labyrinththe director may have surpassed all his best work with the release Crimson Peak back in 2015. Though audiences didn’t notice at first - with only $75 million in revenue on a film budget of $55 million -Crimson Peak received critical acclaim for its creepy and interesting premise that didn’t let down from the first scene to the last.
While the film tells a familiar story - a historical drama set in a gothic mansion - the 2015 film boasts not only a talented cast but also a beautifully told story made possible by del Toro’s artistic vision. A young lady who can communicate with the dead Crimson Peak follows Edith Cushing (Wasikowska) as she becomes entangled in mysteries after her marriage to Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston). Although the ghost that haunts her new home frightens her, she is soon able to discover that the real horrific monsters weren’t always terrifying spiritual beings.
After Crimson Peakdel Toro continued to tell stories with water shape and 2022 iteration Pinocchio, which both received positive reviews from critics. But although the mentioned films brought the director deserved recognition, Crimson Peak remains the most beautiful story the director has ever told.
