Toei Animation has shared the original keyframe animation of an important scene from episode 1015 of the series. One piece. The 14-second clip shows Monkey D. Luffy brandishing one of his powerful gumball moves towards his latest enemy Kaido, the “Strongest Creature in the World”.
As the Wano Country Arc continues to gain momentum, Luffy and Kaido are set to face each other again in future episodes. The adventure anime is currently in its 20th season and episode 1064 will be shown on Crunchyroll this Saturday. From the preview of the episode, the anime is getting closer to the main battle between Luffy and Kaido, which will tell the fate of not only Luffy’s appearance as one of the powerful Worst Generation, but of the entire Wano Country.
As with any major arc, the anime focuses on battles between Luffy’s mighty team and their equally experienced opponents. The last few episodes have seen an intense battle between Zoro and King, while Usopp’s Sniper King returns as he is determined to survive. The Straw Hat crew did everything in their power to support their captain in his dream of becoming the Pirate King.
Why does Luffy want to defeat Kaido
Luffy will take any opportunity to become a hero, even if it means giving up his own life. When the Straw Hat Pirates first heard about the oppressed Wano Land, the crew teamed up with Law and the Heart Pirates to infiltrate the country and destroy the sea emperor Kaido. Once on Earth, Luffy witnessed the harsh conditions in which most of the country lived. Eager to keep Ace’s promise to protect O-Tama, Luffy battles Kaido to free Wano Country. The end of the battle will determine the future of not only Wano Land, but also the pirate hierarchy.
One piece simulcasts on Crunchyroll every Saturday. Check out the original animation below:
