Max has just released a new trailer for the highly anticipated second season. And just like that…, showing us the ongoing adventures and exploits of beloved city girl Carrie Bradshaw. The new trailer follows yesterday’s surprise news about Kim Cattrallcameo in the second season. And while the new trailer doesn’t show Cattrall’s return as the hilarious and sassy Samantha, it does give us a glimpse of some of the other twists and turns in the series.
One year after the premiere of the first season And just like that… finally returns. The series is a highly anticipated sequel to the cult HBO series. Sex in the city. In the first season I saw Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her two best friends Charlotte (Kristen Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) as they navigate the day-to-day complexities of relationships, middle age, motherhood, and the changing landscape of their respective careers. The first season of the series focused on Carrie coping with the death of her husband Big and dealing with grief as well as trying to rebuild her life. The season was a payback for all the characters. One of the most controversial changes was Miranda’s split from her longtime husband Steve and her collaboration with Che Diaz.Sara Ramirez).
A new trailer released today gives us an idea of what to expect from Season 2, starting with Carrie opening a box in her iconic closet, revealing her infamous bridal headpiece. “You don’t move on because you’re ready,” she says in voice-over. The cutscenes play about our favorite heroes who find themselves at a dead end in their lives. She continues by saying, “You’re moving on because you’ve grown from who you were before.”
Does Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse have a post-credits scene?
New Carrie Bradshaw
And that seems to be the main lesson of the upcoming season, as the trailer shows each character facing growing challenges in their lives. Miranda moves to the West Coast with Che, but finds she doesn’t know her new partner as well as she thought. Charlotte is offered a new job and is comfortable with her new group of friends, but may have gone too far as she stumbles down the hallway towards her two confused children, drunk on some ill-conceived gunshots. And Carrie learns that her oven isn’t just for storing sweaters—now she can even make a poached egg! The trailer also gives us a glimpse of some highly anticipated returning characters, including Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).
And just like that… It will premiere on Max on June 22nd. In the meantime, you can watch the new trailer below.
