Poker Face could have ended his first season a couple of months ago, but Ryan Johnson is already planning what he will do when the time comes to solve another mystery. During a recent interview with Deadline, the director revealed that he was thinking about who he would like to see in the cast of The Peacock, and then the answer came in the form of a hero from a galaxy far, far away. It turns out that Johnson would like to see Kelly Marie Tran coming next season Poker Face, continuing a working relationship that has lasted for more than five years. He said, “I call every one of them. I would like to get Kelly Marie Tran from star Wars there for the episode.”
The last time Johnson and Tran worked together was when she played Rose Tico in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As a member of the resistance, Rose works as a mechanic, while her sister Paige (Veronica Ngo), is part of the fleet. Rose’s fate will change forever when she meets FinnJohn Boyega) after her sister died during a brutal space battle. Together, Finn and Rose are sent to the giant casino in Canto Bight to find someone who can help the Resistance in their intense fight against the First Order. But after an unfortunate incident in the parking lot, the couple ended up in jail.
After starring in a galaxy far, far away, Tran voiced another Disney character, starring in Raya and the last dragon. As a fearless Disney princess, Raya knew she had to go through a dangerous journey to save her land. What she didn’t know was the fact that she would eventually meet the last dragon known to mankind, voiced by Aquafina. The pair will have to explore endless miles in different environments before completing a quest that will bring the rest of the dragons back and save their world.
What Poker Face ABOUT?
Charlie CaleNatasha Lyonne) will face the greatest test of her life when she has to solve a violent murder. What everyone around her doesn’t know is the fact that Charlie is able to know when someone is lying and when they’re not. While this may seem like the perfect superpower for someone who needs to get to the bottom of a mystery, it can also be confusing because knowing someone is lying doesn’t necessarily reveal the truth. New cases will present themselves when Poker Face returns at some point in the future.
