Starring Jarrel Jerome (Moonlight), Walton Goggins (Hateful Eight), And Olivia Washington (Little things) among other things, this is a new show, I’m a virginis a surreal and joyful coming-of-age story about a 13-foot black man named Kuti.

I’m a virgin It premiered back in March at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, where the film was met with rave reviews.
All seven episodes of the series are due out on June 23, 2023.

In the trailer, we see Kuti flirting with a cashier at a fast food restaurant, making friends, and praying with her Aunt Lafrancine and Uncle Martisse. When Kuti says, “People love me,” Lafrancine tells him, “You’re a 13-foot-tall black man. They are afraid of you.” The trailer shows Kuti being stalked by Jay Whittle, the creepy android-like superhero aka Hera, and being used by the greedy elite art scene in Los Angeles.

I’m a virgin focuses on Kuti, a young man played by Jarrel Jerome. Kuti is a fairly ordinary guy in many ways, he is optimistic, outgoing and always looking for adventure as he is a Virgo and “Virgos love adventure” as he notes. One of the main things that sets Kuti apart from those around him is his height: he is 13 feet tall. This causes his family to try to shield him from the outside world and from people who might want to take advantage of him. Of course, this can’t last forever, and Kuti eventually leaves his home to explore the big world of Oakland, California. Who plays in the series “I am a Virgo”?
I’m a virgin stars Jarrel Jerome, whom viewers may remember from his award-winning role as teenage Kevin in Barry JenkinsX Moonlight.
