Swagger The second season introduces viewers to a group of young people on the threshold of adulthood. Jace, Phil, Nick, Musa, Drew, and Royal move into their senior year of high school, ready to face the challenges ahead. Most of them will attend Cedar Cove Prep, a prestigious institution ruled by powerful board members who control every aspect of the school, from faculty appointments to student admissions. Despite academic success, the Cedar Cove basketball team is not doing well. But a dramatic change comes when Emory Lawson, athletic director, recruits exceptionally talented Swagger players.

Soon enough, the high school basketball program is growing into an elite force, drawing the attention of Alonzo Powers of the Gladiator Sneakers and top college scouts across the country, while garnering an ardent fan base on live streaming platforms. But their newfound success comes at a price. Talented players find themselves under scrutiny from critics and observers as they strive for the coveted high school national championship.

Meanwhile, Jace Carson and his family are enjoying the blessings that have brightened their lives. Jenna, Jace’s mother, has triumphantly opened her own thriving cosmetics business, and they have happily settled into a rented house in a quiet residential area. Who Makes Swagger?

Swagger brought to life by a powerful team of executive producers including Bythewood, Durant, Brian Grazer, Rich Kleiman, Francie Kalfo (Wu-Tang: An American Saga), And Joy Keken (Cloak and dagger). James Seidman (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) joins the team as co-executive producer. Together with Imagine Television Studios, Boardroom, CBS Studios and Undisputed Cinema, everyone on the team brings their experience and creative vision to the production.

Production for Swagger began in February 2018 and was originally ordered as a sports drama television series. Filming began in October 2019 but was temporarily delayed in February due to an unexpected recast and the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in December 2020, with most filming taking place in Richmond and Hopewell, Virginia.
