Summer is just around the corner and Netflix has already made the season an original series. heart block returns in Season 2. A romantic comedy about queer youth that will lead to new adventures for Nick, Charlie and their friends. In April, Netflix shared the first teaser for the season. Now, the streamer is giving viewers a deeper look at the newly released batch of images.
The new images primarily focus on the show’s three main couples: Nick (Joe Locke) and Charlie (Keith Connor), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) and Tara (Corinna Brown) and Elle (Yasmine Finney) and Dao (William Gao). In every pairing photo, the couples are enjoying time with each other, especially during the big trip to Paris where they are heading to school. Meanwhile, it seems that Tao and El are finally acknowledging the romantic tension between them. Sure, it’s entirely possible for two friends to go on a movie date together, but given the duo’s history, it’s perhaps more than a platonic outing.
The rest of the images are solo shots that also feature Nick and Charlie. The third single photo focuses on Isaac (Toby Donovan), Charlie and Tao’s best friend. In true Isaac style, he carries around a large stack of books on a variety of topics. As in the first season, viewers can see Isaac reading again at any point. What’s more, viewers will also learn a little more about Isaac in Season 2. Author and creator of the series Alice Osman it was previously teased that Isaac is exploring his asexuality - an important step for the character and the show itself.
While Netflix has yet to release an official synopsis for season 2, Oseman’s graphic novels give a pretty clear idea of what the new season has in store. As mentioned, the group and their classmates head to Paris. In graphic novels, the journey brings a lot of great memories, but it also brings some drama with it. It’s also close to a point in the overarching story where Charlie’s struggles with mental health become much more visible.

Other cast members returning for the new season include Jenny Walser like tori, Cormac Hyde-Corrin like Harry, Sebastian Croft like ben, Fisayo Akinade like Mr. Ajayi, and Rhea Norwood like Imogen. New faces in the series include Jack Barton And Thibault de Montalembert as Nick’s brother and father respectively, Leila Khan like sugar, Ash shelf like Felix Belle Priestley like Naomi and Nina Talegani as Trueham’s teacher.
