The Autobots are returning to theaters this summer with the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which expand the franchise with the long-awaited appearance of the Maximals on the big screen. As fans prepare for the film’s upcoming release, director Stephen Capel Jr. In an exclusive issue of SFX Magazine, it was revealed that Optimus Prime will have a surprise character arc in the film.
Additionally, he hinted that the introduction of Optimus Primal would serve as a contrast to Prime, as the two characters are expected to feud with each other. “We have Optimus Primal, a brand new character who is also a leader. You can see how he conflicts a bit with Optimus Prime. lol, there are a few little nuggets in there from Optimus Primal’s point of view, who he is and how he came to know about Optimus Prime. there was, and there is an arc between them,” he said.
In the previous installments, Optimus Prime has always remained a static character who served as the ultimate embodiment of good. Now that the leader of the Autobots has experienced growth throughout the film’s history, Rise of the Beasts can bring a rare 3D side to the character that hasn’t been shown before when facing Optimus Primal. Capl. Junior added that despite his conflict, Prime will eventually grow into the character most fans expect. “Everyone has different motives and goals. But ultimately, his main goal is to return home and save his planet. Then we all realize that there is a big threat. Will he help save the Earth? The Prime we’ve always known.”

‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ brings classic ’90s spin-off to life
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the latest in a series of feature films that began in 2007 with director Michael Bayaction-packed blockbuster. However, after a box office disappointment Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017, the franchise eventually received a soft reboot in 2018 with the release bumblebee a spin-off that was well received by fans and critics. Catching a wave of nostalgia for the 90s, Rise of the Beasts will draw inspiration from the classics beast wars series with the introduction of Maximals. While fans wait for the long-awaited characters to debut on the big screen, there are other projects to look forward to from the franchise. In the summer of 2024, viewers will be able to fully experience the full backstory of Optimus Prime and Megatron with the release of Transformers: One, an upcoming animated film slated to premiere next summer. Now there are several projects on the way, and it’s time to become a fan of Transformers.
