Sometimes when you look Saturday night life and a new character is born, you know you’ll see them again. And that’s what happened when Ego Nvodim debuted Lisa from Temecula during Pedro Pascaledition with musical guest cold game. We were not sure when we would see Lisa again. Ana de Armas’holding a concert with a musical guest Karol G.. And this time, she didn’t let the jug of sangria get in the way of spreading the salad the way she liked: all over the table with more dressing than lettuce.

When Lisa and her sisterPunky Johnson) receive an invitation to a wedding, they sit down at the table with de Armas, Bowen YanAnd Molly Kearney. And just like in the first draft, Lisa is already causing havoc at the table because the food is not to her liking. The first time was because her meat had not been cooked to its perfect perfection. And now? The thing is, her salad isn’t mixed the way she likes it. Couple that with the lack of affordable ranch clothing, and it wasn’t the best time for Lisa.

It’s strange to know that Saturday night life found his character, to which Nvodim can return. Iterative sketches and characters are the backbone of the series, and when you see the first sketch of them, you see the magic happen. And that’s exactly what that first draft was, and strengthening the second draft helped us get interested in Lisa.

What was so funny this time around is that they knew what made the last sketch funny, repeated it but tweaked it a bit to keep us on our toes. And, of course, Ian broke Nwoim to make just one of those sketches that are so fun to watch.

RIP Sangria Jug

In the first sketch, the drinks didn’t fly, and as people who were in the audience, we watched this jug of sangria hold on for dear life. Johnson tried to leave it on the table, and the jug itself became a meme. Now it seemed that everything Saturday night life said let the chaos reign, and the first thing that went on the table were the drinks doused over Young during the sketch. And Johnson briefly tried to stop the sangria but it fell to the floor along with the dressing and we really felt like we had lost a friend. It was a fun throwback to a sketch we saw earlier this season and I hope we get to see Lisa from Temecula again. Maybe not until next season, though.
