It’s one thing to be captivated by the show’s storyline; it’s quite another thing to actually cheer for the characters involved in the story, especially when they have a lot of layers that make their personalities stand out from the rest.

7 Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005–2008)
Uncle IrohMako And Greb Baldwin) is one of the best characters in the Nickelodeon animated series, and that’s for sure. Despite being a very caring and compassionate person, this wise and spiritual elder knows how to stand up for himself and handle a fight (let’s not forget how strong he is).
Some may be surprised by the fact that Avatar: The Last Airbender the character is as well respected as other TV coolies on Reddit, but given his experience as a general and fighter, it’s not hard to see how. As u/Uzrukai explained, “Iroh was just one of those silent guys who knew they could destroy you in an instant, but just didn’t want to.”
6 Michael Ehrmantraut of Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
Breaking Bad undoubtedly has some of the best character writing in TV history, and Better call Saul just demonstrated it again. Although he is a pragmatic character who, like many others, has done terrible things, Ehrmantraut is one of the few who doesn’t enjoy getting his hands dirty.

A fan favorite almost since the series premiered, this toughie is emotionally and physically strong, as well as extremely caring and protective (even if he doesn’t show it that much).

3 Elizabeth Jennings of The Americans (2013–2018)
Americans’ Elizabeth Jennings (ur.Keri Russell) attracted the attention of many. In addition to her intelligence and versatility, this accomplished Soviet spy and KGB agent is morally righteous and has her heart in the right place. What’s so great about her is that she fights for what she thinks is right, but she’s not afraid to break some rules.

They also happen share one of the most compelling connections on television.
