The return of audiences to cinemas after the pandemic was also celebrated this year with two films: Avatar: Path of Water And Top Shooter: Maverick Both were nominated for Best Picture, earning over $1 billion each at the worldwide box office, marking the first time that two films that crossed that milestone were nominated.
