Even though it’s still over a year away, the anticipation for a comeback is growing. Ryan Reynolds”Merck with a mouth” on the big screen with Deadpool 3. Since it became clear that Hugh Jackman set to play Wolverine one last time in a sequel, the project has risen to the top of the list as one of the key Marvel movies to watch over the next two years.
Production was previously slated to begin later this year, and Collider has heard that the camera will start in London this spring. We learned that most of the filming will take place overseas, unlike the first two films, which were filmed in Vancouver. Director Shawn Levy had previously told us that filming would start around May 1st, but we didn’t know where exactly.
Wade Wilson burst onto the scene by directing two of the most commercially successful R-rated superhero films in 2016 and 2018 respectively, captivating fans with the character’s fourth style of humor with more raunchy comedy than the typical superhero movie. However, this will be Marvel Studios’ first Deadpool game to feature an MCU boss. Kevin Feige set to production though Deadpool 3 It is expected that the level of violence and rudeness will be close to the standard for the franchise. Although the details of the film, including how Wolverine could return after his death in Loganslender, we can expect a lot of hilarious antics from Wolverine and Deadpool, given their mutual hatred for each other.
As for Wolverine’s return, Jackman has previously hinted at the multiverse reason for his sudden appearance. So timing and impact Logan could stay intact, but still let him mess around with Deadpool in the upcoming movie. Moreover, it fits well into the MCU, which in its latest installments actively explores the multiverse.
However, there appears to be more to Jackman’s involvement. In an interview with the French newspaper Le Parisien, the actor was asked about his massacre of Wolverine, and he replied:
“Yes, it will even be a double role. Ryan and I have been friends for twenty years, we have a lot of fun together. We’re filming this summer. to be able to enjoy French gastronomy. Because very soon I will have to go on a strict diet to remake Wolverine’s body: steamed chicken and broccoli!”
What this “double role” means is anyone’s guess.
What else do we know about Deadpool 3?
After Tim Miller And David Leitch took over the reins of the first two films, Shawn Levy will be in charge of Deadpool 3taking my experience from very strange things to the table. Levy has a lot of experience working with Reynolds, having previously directed his original film for Netflix. Project Adam as well as his video game blockbuster free guy. These two will see each other a lot over the next few years between the MCU. free guy sequel and newly announced musical comedy Malchuk group which they would co-produce with Reynolds.
Besides Reynolds and Jackman, Deadpool 3 already has a villain in mind CrownX Emma Corrin. However, their personality traits are also kept secret. More casting announcements are expected as production on the film approaches. Meanwhile, Jackman has focused on training to get his body in shape for Wolverine and whatever his “double role” might entail.
