The first part of the two-part finale, Fast and Furious franchise, Quick XComing soon to theaters this May, we’ve finally got an official first look at the upcoming movie through Empire magazine, giving fans a first look at what to expect!
An all-new take on the next installment in the blockbuster action series doesn’t reveal much about the story’s plot, but it does give fans a first look at two highly anticipated new additions to the series. Aquaman star Jason Momoa last year it was announced that he will play the villain Dante in the upcoming film, and this is the first time we will see him in character, as well as Captain Marvel star Brie Larson as Tess. And of course it wouldn’t Quick X without looking at the head of the family himself, Don Toretto, who was again played by VIN diesel.
Starting filming in April 2022, this first look Quick X gives us a glimpse into some of the old and new players in the film, which fleshes out the backstory of series protagonist Dom Toretto, building a brotherly conflict between Dom and Jacob Toretto (John Cena). Other new actors associated with this focus on the Toretto family include the Hollywood legend. Rita Moreno playing grandma Doma as well Daniela Melchior (Suicide Squad) appear to have some sort of connection due to some images of BTS released back in May 2022. This first look also gives us a glimpse of some of the crazy stunts that have become the cornerstone of the series. While many small plot details are still being kept under wraps, this new take on the upcoming movie finally gives fans an idea of what to expect.
While we are still waiting for the final cast list, many of the main characters will return in Quick X starring Diesel. These returns come from across the long, legendary, and insane franchise, including the previously mentioned Cena as well as Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sun Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham, Lucas Black, Shad “Bow Wow” Moss, Jason TobinAnd Anna Savai. Diesel also made it clear that he is struggling to get Dwayne Johnson return to reprise his role as Hobbs. Cardi B was also confirmed from Diesel to return for the final story with Alan Ritchson (Reacher) is also attached to the project.
