One of the greatest and most influential songwriters in the history of music Bob Dylan. It has now been announced that Olivia Colman, Woody Harrelson, Chloe BaileyAnd Tosin Cole are set to star in a new film inspired by the music legend, girl from the northern country. The film is an adaptation of the Olivier and Tony Award-winning stage show of the same name.

girl from the northern country The action takes place in Duluth, Minnesota during the Great Depression. It follows the Lane family as they struggle to make ends meet by owning and running a guest house full of travelers from all walks of life. Harrelson will play Nick Lane, the family’s patriarch and guest house owner, who tries to find a way to stop the bank from foreclosing their home. Colman was cast as Elizabeth Lane, the matriarch of a dementia-stricken family. Bailey will play their adopted daughter, Marianne, who is pregnant and keeps her father’s identity a secret. Additionally, Cole was cast as Joe Scott, a fugitive who is one of the guests at the guest house and strikes up a relationship with Marianne.

Story girl from the northern country narrated using some of Dylan’s most iconic and timeless songs. Each song is reimagined with 1930s-era instruments played at the time. Some of his songs featured on the stage show include “All Along The Watchtower”, “Forever Young”, “Make You Feel My Love”, and “Like A Rolling Stone”.

Who is working on the film?

His other stage work includes critically acclaimed plays such as Dam, live nightAnd shining cityAs for Dylan, the film adaptation is in McPherson’s good hands, as the songwriter is quoted as saying he enjoyed the show. He said:

“Communication with Conor is one of the highlights of my professional life. It goes without saying that this man is a genius at making this thing and I am thrilled to be a part of this experience. My songs couldn’t be in better hands. The performance made me cry at the end. I can’t even say why. When the curtain came down, I was stunned. I really was.”
