Fourth and final season Umbrella Academy on Netflix is now in production. The news was announced today by Netflix and was accompanied by a photo of the series’ cast and showrunner reading a table. A release date for season 4 of the series has not yet been set.
A new image posted today shows Elliot Pagewho plays Victor, Aidan Gallagherwho plays the Five, Justin H. Minwho plays Ben, David Castañedawho plays Diego, Tom Hopperwho plays Luther, Robert Sheehanwho plays Klaus, Emmy Raver-Lampmanwho plays Allison in the series, and Ritu Aryawho plays Lila. Also in the picture there is a showrunner of the series Steve Blackman.
Unfortunately for fans of the series, the new image didn’t give fans a glimpse into the reboot universe that was introduced in the season 3 finale. So fans will have to wait a little longer to see what kind of chaos the reboot of the universe will bring. The third season of the series ended with the Umbrellas stripped of their powers, and each of them went their separate ways. Along with the main cast shown in the image released today, Colm Feore will reprise the role of Reginald. More casting announcements are expected.

How long will season 4 be?
The fourth and final reason for the series will consist of only six episodes. However, series showrunner Steve Blackman assured fans that they would love what they did in the abbreviated final season. After hearing the news of short final seasons, many fans called for longer episodes, as previously reported by Collider. However, the exact length of the upcoming episodes has not been confirmed. Last week, series showrunner Blackman posted a sneak peek of filming for the show’s final season, one of the many little hints Blackman has given as production nears the start of the season.
Umbrella Academy began airing in 2019 and is based on the comic book series of the same name. The series follows the various exploits of a foster group of siblings that form the Umbrella Academy, whose adventures span time, space, and even different universes. The end of Season 3 marked arguably the biggest shift for the series to date, and the show’s abbreviated fourth and final season has a lot to cover in order to wrap up the show’s many open storylines.
