Greenwich Entertainment released a new trailer Charlotte Ramplingnew family drama Juniper. The film is billed as a “transformative story of love, loss and acceptance” and is based on stories by a rookie director. Matthew J. Savillegrowing up experience in New Zealand.
In the new trailer, Rampling is shown as a dour matriarch and former war journalist who, after breaking her leg, moves into her son’s home to be cared for by her grandson Sam. He is a self-destructive teenager and was recently kicked out of boarding school. The clip presents Ruth as a brash, tough alcoholic who is trying to mend her relationship with her estranged grandson. The two-minute clip also shows Ruth and Sam slowly warming up to each other, from Ruth throwing a glass at Sam for spilling her drink to the two watching the sun rise and dancing together, the clip offers a slice of their lives in touching vignettes.
In the film, Rampling is played by Ruth. George Ferrier like her restless grandson Sam, Marton Csokas like Robert son of Ruth, and Edith Poor like Sarah, Ruth’s nurse. interesting movie title Juniper inspired by juniper berries, which are a key ingredient in gin, which Ruth is addicted to and drinks by the jugs every day. The feature looks fresh, touching and interesting, with Rampling playing the matriarch and Ferrier the reclusive but warm grandson. With picturesque landscapes, powerful performances and a heartfelt emotional story at the heart of Juniper will surely find a place in the hearts of fans.
The film was awarded at good film festivals in Tallinn, Edinburgh, Munich and Brisbane.
