The short doesn’t shy away from Cruise’s dedication to his stunt work. From measuring his bike’s speed by ear to flying over cardboard-filled quarries with nothing more than a wire to keep him aloft, it’s clear that Cruz’s devotion is more than just words. “It all comes down to one thing,” Cruz says, “the audience.” And soon the audience will be able to see the fruits of the labor of the film crew, as the new film will finally hit theaters four years after it was originally announced.
Cruz is, of course, filming a new movie. And colleagues join him again Simon Pegg and Vanessa Kirby among others. The shooting of the film was complicated not only by the difficult stunt work, but also by the COVID-19 pandemic.
