The horror genre has always been home to bloodhunters. Horror films that often test the limits of the human body are infamous for treating their characters like tissue paper as they kill them off in a wide variety of creatives. Whether it’s decapitation, dismemberment, or just plain old stabbing, some horror movies win or die depending on the quality of the death scenes and the amount of gore they can fit on screen.

Eventually, audiences become desensitized to violence, as you would expect in the genre. However, when a non-horror film decides to show viewers a gory death scene, it’s far more shocking. Whether it’s a comedy, historical epic, or action movie, audiences generally don’t expect to be bombarded with images that will make them think. Eli Roth blush.

Alex Murphy - RoboCop (1987)

One of the best action films of the 1980s Robocop represents crime-ridden Detroit, where machines are built to uphold the law. After a brutal murder by a criminal gang, police officer Alex Murphy (Peter Weller) is resurrected as a cyborg created for the sole purpose of eradicating crime.

Murphy’s death at the beginning of the film is the most disturbing moment in history. Robocop. He is tortured by shooting off his limbs one by one before being pardoned by a shot to the head. The brutality of his death immediately makes viewers take notice of Murphy, drawing them to his side as he begins his new journey.

Tim Messenger - “Hot Fluff” (2007)

One of Edgar Wrightbest movies, hot fluff also contains some of his darkest death scenes. When Super Cop Nicola AngelSimon Pegg) is transferred from a big city to a small one, he is quickly drawn into the pursuit of a serial killer whose existence no one in the peaceful village wants to admit.

As his investigation is usually blocked, Angel receives an invitation to meet with Tim Messenger, a local journalist. With information about the case, he is unable to share it as a jagged piece of the church’s roof rains down and blows his head off, setting up a scene that would be appropriate in Destination.

Rambo: Last Blood finds an aging retired war veteran and lives on a ranch with close friend Maria and her granddaughter Gabriela. When Gabriela is killed by the Mexican cartel, Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is back on the warpath, leading to the most brutal and gory entry in the legendary series.

In the final act Last Blood, John Rambo becomes Jason Voorhees when he kills an entire squad of mercenaries with traps that impale, decapitate and crush thugs in a hilariously gory fashion. It all culminates with Rambo confronting Hugo’s boss and cutting open his chest, ripping out the man’s heart and showing it to him.

Jesus Christ - “The Passion of the Christ” (2004)

A movie where you will say “Jesus Christ” in different ways. Passion of Christ turns a religious fairy tale into a horror story. The film tells about 12 hours of the life of Jesus (Jim Caviezel) life before the execution, covering such events as the betrayal of Judas and the famous crucifixion.

Passion of Christ notorious for its violence, with many audience members leaving the theater as Jesus is whipped, beaten and crucified. Director Mel Gibson doesn’t shy away from the brutality of the situation, creating a brutality that feels so real that some have called it a snuff movie.

Seth - “Superbad” (2007)

One of the best comedies of the 21st century Very bad tells an interesting story about teenagers Seth (Jonah Hill), Evan (Michael Cera) and Vogel, aka “McLovin” (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) as they try to get prom alcohol to impress the girls they like. Of course, everything goes wrong.

When Seth attempts to illegally buy alcohol, he incurs the wrath of a security guard, who slits his windpipe with a broken bottle and watches as blood erupts from him. Alas, it turns out to be a dream comedy, but it’s still a violent scene that comes out of nowhere in this non-violent teen comedy.

Norman Massacre - “Saving Private Ryan” (1998)

One of the greatest war films Saving Private Ryan follows a small group of soldiers tasked with finding Private Ryan (Matt Damon) and his release from duties in connection with the death of his three brothers. Led by Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks), eight men risk their lives to save one person.

Saving Private Ryan begins with the invasion of Normandy, where countless soldiers die as they reach the beach. The men are torn to pieces by the ruthless machine-gun fire of the Nazis sitting on the hill, and the sight of a young soldier calling for his mother, holding twisted insides in his hands, is an image that is hard to forget.

Mornay - “Braveheart” (1995)

Mel Gibson definitely no stranger when it comes to violence in his films, and brave heart has many grizzly scenes. Telling a fictional look at the life of William Wallace (Gibson), a Scottish rebel leads a rebellion against his British tormentors, fighting to the death for his freedom.

In one such battle, Wallace and his allies were betrayed by Mornay, a defector who pretended to support their cause. After selling Wallace and leaving him for dead, Mornay is woken up in the night by Wallace riding his horse into his bedroom before a powerful mace blow puts Mornay to sleep for good.

Full movie - “Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki” (1991)

Riki-Oh: Riki’s Story how The Shawshank Redemption if everyone could dismember each other with their bare hands. When a young man is locked in a deadly prison run by a sadistic warden, he uses his superhuman combat abilities to protect himself and his new friends from the warden’s brutal warriors.

Riki-O notorious for its extreme level of violence, as prisoners are usually killed in very memorable ways. Heads explode, people choke on their guts, faces are cut in half, and the final boss turns into a grotesque creature who is defeated by an industrial meat grinder. Greyhound dream.

Elevator Hitman - “Drive” (2011)

The movie that inspired a whole generation of men to start chewing toothpicks. Drive revolves around Driver (Ryan Gosling) a hired criminal who works as, you guessed it, a getaway driver. Becoming close to his new neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), the couple is forced to flee after a failed job.

Crossing over with an assassin in an elevator, Driver knocks the assassin to the floor before stepping on his head several times, the final shot revealing what is left of his skull. This is a shocking revelation to Irene and viewers of the darkness that exists within the usually calm and collected Driver.

Crazy 88 - Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)

Split into two films Kill Bill: Volume 1 shows the beginning of the Bride’s quest for revenge, culminating in a showdown with the yakuza in Tokyo.

The second target on her target list, O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), commands a group of assassins called the Mad 88. When The Bride arrives to ambush O-Ren, she fights her loyal soldiers instead, and in one of the best action scenes in the film, she slices them apart using her trusty katana , creating a flow of blood in the club.
