November is good for crime addicts, and Peacock is gearing up to release a new investigative drama titled Call. The series plans to bring a familiar premise to the screen, but with a new twist. Ahead of the premiere, Peacock presented the series with several first look images.

Although the series focuses on the criminal investigation, the photographs highlight the ensemble cast and some of the various conditions they will be in throughout the series. The images hint at several big scenes taking place outside, as one photo suggests something important has happened. Karen Robinsonthe character uses gestures to drive away the gathered crowd. Similarly, a couple of other images with multiple underpinnings in the background show that the stakes will be high, whether it’s a single episode or multiple episodes. Another photo shows that Jeff Wilbushthe character is more empathetic in conversation with witnesses.

Based on the book Dror A. Mishani, Call follows Abraham Abraham, an NYPD detective who is “guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles”. Because of this, he has a strong belief in humanity, which he uses as a superpower of sorts to uncover the truth. However, when the usual investigation goes wrong, Abraham begins to doubt his humanity. While it’s still unclear exactly how Abraham’s belief system will be involved, the description implies that it’s a big part of his personality and could also be a big driving force in the series as a whole.
