COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Season 1, Episode 1, “The Name of the Game”

This is where it all starts when the fastest man in the world, A-Train (Jessie Asher) passes through Huey (Jack Quaid) Robin’s girlfriend (Jess Salgueiro). Vought approaches Huey with a huge $45,000 settlement offer, which he declines and later teams up with Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) to fight the Seven.

“The Name of the Game” introduces not only the Soups, but their villainous intentions as the audience peers into Vought’s tower. The episode shows what hardcore action fans are signing up for when the Butcher gets into a fight with Transparent in the final scene (Alex Hassel), and Huey eventually electrocutes him.

Season 2, Episode 3, “Beyond the Hill of Swords, a Thousand Men”

“Beyond the Hill of Swords, a Thousand Men” is the standout episode of Season 2. This episode is no less “devilish” than the season finale and provides a lot of information about Soup, Compound V, The Boys, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) and about whales too.

First Starlight and Huey leak information about Compound V, and then Stormfront (Aya Cash) shows his true colors by killing Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) brother, Kenji (Abraham Lim) coolly. To top it all off with blood, the Butcher crashes his speedboat into the whale’s stomach.

Season 1, episode 7, “Self-Preservation Society”.

The first season of “Self-Preservation Society” reveals a lot, from Starlight and Hughie’s relationship to a brief look at the relationship between Becca (Shantel Van Santen), Motherland (Anthony Starr), and Butcher. Also, Homelander reveals how Hughie was rigging the whole thing, seeking revenge from A-Train for killing his girlfriend (it’s not just that Homelander makes the seven believe that Starlight is involved with Hughie).

Now that the Soups know who they’re up against, the show is definitely getting bloodier. The episode finally shows the protracted confrontation and exes conversation between A-Train and Huey, which ends with Kimiko breaking A-Train’s leg.

Season 3, Episode 1, “Payback”

The epic length of the episode proved that it was worth all the hype it had long before it was released. “Payback” gives season 3 boys an amazing run to get to the final which is even crazier than the previous two. The episode reminds fans that the show will get more violent, insane, and “devilish” as the season progresses.

“Payback” begins with the size-changing Supe, Thermite. (Brett Geddes) this leads to one of the show’s most stunning scenes. But the most exciting moment is the discovery that Stormfront is alive.

Season 2, Episode 7, “Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker”

The very title of the episode is captivating, and by the end it turns out to be even more significant. “The Butcher, the Baker, the Candlestick Maker” is arguably the bloodiest episode of the series.

First, Ryan agrees to leave his mother, and Homelander takes him away from Becky. Then, Lamplighter (Sean Ashmore) sets himself on fire in Vought Tower after Hughie takes him to save Starlight. Heads begin to appear in the courtroom and no one has any idea what is going on or who is doing it, leading to a gruesome scene.

Season 3, Episode 4, “Glorious Five”

From Supes to Boys, the “magnificent five -year plan” shows many shifts in relationships. The Butcher now has access to Compound V (Temp V), thanks to Maeve (Dominic McElligott), and he can use it to fight Soups.

The episode shows William taking a Temp V and brutally killing people around him. Homelander blackmails Victoria NeumannClaudia Dumit) to betray his father Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito). Also, this episode marks the debut of the strongest Super, Boy Soldier (jensen).

Season 1, Episode 8, “You Found Me”

After the seventh episode of the season, no one could have imagined that the stakes could get even higher, but You Found Me proves that there is always a place for blood and violence in the series. The finale connects all the dots and leaves important knots open for fans to look forward to next season.

The show ends with Homelander lasering Stilwell (Elisabeth Shue) eyes when Butcher tries to take her hostage to blackmail Homelander. It was also revealed in the finale that Butcher’s wife, Becca, is alive and is the mother of Homelander’s son.

Season 2, Episode 8, “What I Know”

Like the rest of the show, What I Know has a lot of gore and heartache. The episode is utter chaos, and a constant wave of emotion runs through the brutal and gory scenes. There are many implausible scenes in the Season 2 finale when the Boys face off against Homelander and Stormfront.

There is a moment in “What I Know” where Kimiko, Maeve, and Starlight fight Stormfront, forcing her to flee the scene. As the show progresses from this segment, it gets even more outlandish, ending with Ryan unleashing his power to save Becca from Stormfront. Homelander’s son burns Stormfront’s limbs and accidentally kills his mother in the process.

Season 3, Episode 7, “Here’s a Candle to Light You in Bed”

“Here’s a candle to light you in bed” is revealed, beginning with the revelation of Butcher’s past as Mindstorm (Ryan Blakely) lures him into a never-ending nightmare. Shortly thereafter, fans can glimpse into Black Noir’s past using animated anthropomorphic animals. Finally, Soldier Boy is revealed to be Homelander’s father.

Starlight tells Butcher that three to five doses of Compound V could kill him and Hughie. The penultimate episode reveals that Maeve and A-Train are alive. While Maeve is being held captive by Homelander, A-Train is alive as he received a heart transplant from Blue Hawk (Nick Wexler).

Season 3, Episode 6, “Gerogasm”

The Boys’ most publicized episode delivers and is no doubt loved by fans even more than the season’s extraordinary finale. “Herogasm” revolves around an annual event where superheroes come together to satisfy their sexual fantasies.

The episode finally brings the most anticipated faceoff between Homelander and Soldier Boy. Hughie and Butcher join the fight to support Soldier Boy as Homelander proves to be stronger than expected. Before Soldier Boy can blow up Homelander, the latter fights back and flees the premises.
