Officially officially - things are getting devilish in Toronto. Today, boys‘ Anthony Starr took to his Twitter to spread the word that the filming of the 4th season of the satirical superhero series Prime Video continues. Flashing back to days gone by, the actor, who plays the sadistic and manic Homelander, shared a photo of the seven years ago on his Twitter account. Standing nearby in Vought Tower, we see Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), Homelander (Starr), Queen Maeve (Dominic McElligott), Train (Jessie T. Asher), Star Light (Erin Moriarty), Deep (Chace Crawford), and the long gone Translucent (Alex Hassel). Accompanying the photo, Starr shared nostalgia in his caption, reflecting on the years since the band first donned their costumes and lined up on set.
While little is known about what we can expect from the show’s fourth season, we did know (thanks to Karl Urban) that production was supposed to start at some point in the last days of August. Looking forward to more news, the filming rumor mill really started to spin when Starr and the other big players on the show began sharing photos of themselves on their way to Toronto, where the series usually filmed. Although no one came up directly and talked about it, those of us who paid attention knew that the cameras were about to start rolling.
Season 3 left a ton of material for the show’s writing team to work with in the upcoming season. The family dynamic really took center stage in the final episodes of the season with Becca Butcher (Shantel Van Santen) and Homelander’s son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) runs back into the arms of his psychopathic father after being abandoned by The Butcher (Urban). We know that Crovetti was promoted to a regular character in Season 4, so there’s definitely going to be a lot more of a father-son dynamic where that comes from. Meanwhile, jensenSoldier Boy has been frozen in the final moments of the season, hinting at the possibility that we’ll see a lot more of him in the future.
And then, of course, there’s our beloved Supes and Boys, many of whom we can expect to see clash again this season. Along with several members of The Seven, Season 4 will feature the likes of Colby MinifiAshley Barrett, Jack Quaid like Huey Campbell Laz Alonso like mother’s milk Tomer Capone like a french and Karen Fukuhara like Kimiko.
No release date or plot details have been announced at this time. boys Season 4, but as always, stay tuned to Collider for more information. You can check Starr’s tweet below.
