Last week, HBO Max announced the start of filming for the third season of the martial arts crime drama. Warriorand now fresh reports have unveiled the addition of two new actors to spice up Ah Sama’s gripping story (Andrew Koji) in search of his missing sister in crime-ridden Chinatown. Professional henpecked, Mark Dacascosalso newbie Chelsea Muirhead both have booked regular spots on the hit series’ third season.

No stranger to martial arts films, Dacascos, a top-notch karate and kung fu master, has landed another role that will showcase his skills to the fullest. Dacascos’ villainous role as Kong Pak will exacerbate the series’ protagonist Ah Sama’s growing problems. Pak is described as “the former leader of the recently absorbed tong associated with Long Zi”. He is a friend and mentor to Sam’s main rival, Li Yong, who is the perpetrator of the crimes committed by Long Zi throughout Chinatown. On the other hand, Muirhead will play the non-combat role of Yang Mi, who instead of throwing punches, will rely on her wits to navigate the bustling streets of Chinatown as the daughter of a local print shop manufacturer.

Dacascos is known for his roles in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Hawaii Five-0,​​​​​​and Brotherhood of the Wolf. He is also known for his longtime role in a cooking show. Iron Chef America; he returned to reprise his role as Chairman in the reboot, Iron Chef: In Search of the Iron Legend. Muirhead, on the other hand, is fairly new to the acting scene. Filipino-Scottish actress originally from Toronto, Canada, played a role in the TV series Slow feed which premiered in 2020. Warrior follows its protagonist Sam as he emigrates to San Francisco in search of his sister, Mai Ling, who he assumes has gone missing following her previous emigration to the US. Upon arriving in San Francisco, he discovers that she is the de facto leader of the Long Zi Chinatown crime ring and becomes involved in gang wars. The series takes place in the 1870s and is based on the works of great martial artists. Bruce Lee.

Warrior originally aired on Cinemax for two seasons but was canceled due to a change in creative direction. The show will then find a new home at HBO Max, and to the delight of fans, the streaming giant will pick it up for a third season.

Season 3 will see the return of the original cast, including Andrew Koji.
