Behind bars, Buchalski complained of poor health. He was spitting up blood, losing his balance, he had a high fever. Only a week later it was decided to transfer him from custody to the hospital. There, a 39-year-old man was diagnosed with a cerebral infarction. He had a three-centimeter blood clot in his carotid artery.
