The Council of Ministers adopted a draft amendment to the Law on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of the Disabled. The funds for PFRON will increase by PLN 400 million annually.
Another 400 million zł should be allocated to the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. On December 6, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft law on amending the law on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled people.
More resources for people with disabilities
The new project includes an increase in the advance for employers who hire people with disabilities. Co-financing in the case of people with disabilities who are classified as severely disabled will be increased, for example, from PLN 1950 to PLN 2400.
“Support for people with disabilities is one of the government’s priorities. That is why we are gradually increasing funds for these purposes. In 2015, spending on assistance to people with disabilities amounted to PLN 16 billion, and in 2022 - already PLN 37.5 billion. This means an increase of more than 100%. - we read in the communique after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The amendment to the law proposes:

The amount of subsidies for the PFRP of monthly subsidies to the wages of disabled workers will be set at 30 percent. funds allocated for this task in a given year.
– This means that the current amount of the subsidy of PLN 676.5 million will be increased by more than PLN 400 million to PLN 1.08 billion. This is an increase of almost 60%.
– The decision will apply from January 1, 2023.
- The amount of subsidies to employers from PFRON funds will be increased.
- From PLN 1,950 to PLN 2,400, co-financing will be increased for people with disabilities classified as severe.
- The subsidy will be increased from PLN 1,200 to PLN 1,350 for people with disabilities classified as moderately disabled.
- The subsidy will be increased from PLN 450 to PLN 500 for people with disabilities who are classified as light.
- The decisions will apply from January 1, 2023.
