Perhaps not everyone knows, but some pensioners may qualify for the so-called. rescue allowance and thus receive an additional PLN 200 for retirement. However, in order to receive money, certain conditions must be met.
Speaking about benefits for pensioners, most often they mention the thirteenth and fourteenth labor pension (payments will begin tomorrow), they say less about another benefit, which is provided for life. However, it is worth emphasizing that not every pensioner can count on this.
The rescue service, as it should be, is addressed to people who, over a long period of their lives, have performed hard and dangerous work that poses a threat to health or even life. The rescue allowance is PLN 200.
Conditions for receiving benefits
According to Gazeta.pl, people who have reached retirement age and have previously served in the Volunteer Fire Department, Mountain Voluntary Rescue Service or Tatra Voluntary Rescue Service can apply for additional money. It is important that the condition for receiving benefits is at least 20 (for women) or 25 (for men) years of work experience in the above services.
Persons interested in receiving emergency benefits must apply to the Pension and Pension Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In turn, the former firefighters of the Volunteer Fire Brigade refer this issue to the district or city commandant of the fire department.
Bad news for retirees
Meanwhile, as we have already reported, in early September, the earnings limits for pensioners who have not reached the general retirement age will change. In practice, this means that if the worker of the so-called. an early pensioner will earn PLN 8,003.20 gross per month, then ZUS may suspend the payment of the pension (until now it was PLN 8,105.80 gross). The reduction in benefits must be taken into account after the earnings reach the level of PLN 4,309.40 gross (previously it was PLN 4,364.70 gross). The new restrictions will remain in effect until the end of November.
