WBC world champion, undefeated British boxer Tyson Fury, who is likely to fight Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title before the end of the year, has lost his cousin, reports The Sun.
A 31-year-old relative of the boxing legend, Rico Barton, was killed at about 3 a.m. by a knife in the neck outside a bar in Manchester, where he moved with friends after watching a fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua at another venue. According to the British media, the man had a conflict with the visitors of the bar that escalated into a fight. Together with a relative of Fury, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed.
Both victims were taken to the Royal Manchester Hospital, where Burton died from his injuries. The teenager is in serious condition, but there is no threat to life.

It is reported that the police in hot pursuit detained two suspects - men. Homeless Liam O’Prey, 21, has already been charged with murder. His 20-year-old accomplice was released on bail.
“My cousin was killed last night with a knife in the neck. It gets funny when idiots carry knives. This needs to be stopped as soon as possible. Life is so precious and can be taken away very quickly, enjoy every moment. Almost in peace, Rico, may the Lord God give you a good place in heaven.
The UK government needs to tighten the penalties for crimes with the use of edged weapons. This is a pandemic and you won’t realize how bad it is until it happens to you! - Tyson Fury wrote on Instagram, adding the call Stop knife crime (“Stop crimes with knives”).
Earlier, FACTS reported that it became known how much money Fury wants for the fight with Usyk.
