The latest list of the Top 50 largest dealers and dealer groups in Poland, prepared by DCG Dealer Consulting and IBRM Samar, has just been published. The group of companies owned by Miroslav Tsikhy and Sobeslav Zasad again left no chance for the rivals.
The leader of the top 50 list for 2022 is again the Cichy-Zasada group (counted together with Sobiesław Zasada Automotive). Despite the drop in sales by almost 10%, the group quite confidently retained the first place with sales of 18.6 thousand units. new cars.
Group PGD took second place. which delivered 14.5 thousand cars, by 15.4 percent. less than last year. The bronze medal went to the Plichta Group, which sold 13,500 new vehicles, less than 0.9% more than the previous year. less than the previous year.
The struggle of two leaders
For several years now, the competition for the first place between the Tsikhy-Zasada Group and the PGD Group has been going on, until the group of companies from the Sobeslav Zasada stable wins. However, the Polish dealer group does not let go. At the beginning of last year, the company expanded its portfolio with two new locations in the Wrocław agglomeration – a Mitsubishi showroom and a Ford station. In Krakow and Warsaw, the company opened points of sale for the Cupra brand, and already in 2023, the dealer map of the capital was replenished with Opel and DS Automobiles objects. However, the largest investment of the past year (which will only be visible in sales results in 2023) was the acquisition of RRG Warszawa. Thanks to this, the dealer was replenished with two new brands Renault and Dacia and as many as four salons.
The Chichi Principle Strikes Back
As we read, after a fairly calm year in terms of investments in 2022, it seemed that the Chihy-Zasada Group would be left behind in terms of developing its business. Meanwhile, the Top 50 leader recently signed a letter of intent with Auto Wimar Group regarding the group’s acquisition of 100 percent Cichy-Zasada. shares in Auto Wimar and Auto Wimar Centrum. Both dealerships sell Skoda vehicles at four locations in Warsaw. The transaction must be completed after obtaining the consent of the Competition and Consumer Protection Authority for concentration.
Third on the list also invests
The Plichta group did not stop there either. The player from Pomerania has completed the construction of a “car town” in Letnica, Gdansk, where Skoda, Cupra and Audi factories are already operating. In addition, another showroom of the German premium brand and showrooms dedicated specifically to the sale of Plichta Electric electric vehicles have opened in the Tricity. In addition to the “traditional” brands, the dealer also sells cars from China - Maxus, Seres and Skywell.
