Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow collection. These are the last examples of the Wraith, the most powerful Rolls-Royce of all time, a V12-powered coupe.
At the end of the production of one of the most important cars in the history of the brand, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars introduced the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow. With just 12 built, this Bespoke is also the last V12 coupe Rolls-Royce has ever produced before it enters a new era of electrification.
Wraith rejuvenated Rolls-Royce
Released in 2013, the Wraith is one of the most important and influential models ever designed and built at Goodwood. More performance-oriented than its Phantom and Ghost predecessors, the Wraith revolutionized the perception of Rolls-Royce and brought new, younger customer groups to the brand for the first time.
connection V12
The Wraith’s distinctive fastback silhouette signaled the car’s proclivity for dynamic driving. They were further enhanced in 2016 with the introduction of the Black Badge line: a strong, daring, even more powerful version of this car, offering one of the highest performing Rolls-Royce V12 engines.
Unique finish
The Bespoke Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow finish is a full color gradation between Celebration Silver and Black Diamond. A layer of glass fiber crystal lacquer was applied over the Black Diamond lacquer to enhance the transition between the two colors and create a striking back and forth motion blur effect. This exclusive Bespoke technology also gives the bodywork a subtle texture inspired by the crusty surface of the Bonneville Salt Flats, hidden under a glossy paintwork that takes over 12 hours to polish to a glass-like sheen.
contrast palette
In contrast to the gradient coloring, the bright yellow Bespoke inserts in the bumpers and on the center wheels are reminiscent of the yellow circle on the black Thunderbolt arrow. For the first time in Rolls-Royce history, the V-brackets on the Black Arrow, located behind the grille and in front of the engine, are also painted bright yellow, subtly drawing attention to the V12 engine located behind the dark Black chrome. Lattice icon. The use of bright yellow extends to the carbon base of the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, which has bright yellow edging and is engraved with the name of the collection.
Legacy V12
To commemorate the latest Rolls-Royce V12 coupe, the Bespoke team of designers, craftsmen and engineers created a unique piece of art for the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow. Sophisticated, sensual design is powered by a state-of-the-art V12 Wraith engine. In keeping with the noir vibe of the Black Badge family, intricate graphics have been etched into a black coated aluminum sheet to reveal the shiny metal underneath.
Veneer to order
The opposite Black Arrow door is clad in open pore ebony. The intricate pattern is made up of over 320 laser-cut, multidirectional marquetry pieces that mimic the broken, uneven surface of the Bonneville Salt Flats. This unusual ornament also extends to the Waterfall rear panel that separates the two rear seats.
Black Arrow Clock
Inspired by analog gauges from the 1930s, the dashboard clock case echoes the rugged tech aesthetic of the Thunderbolt interior. The impression is enhanced by black tip tips that mimic the side arrows of the original car; the rim features Bonneville and the Thunderbolt V12 speed record of 357.497 mph. Another arrow-shaped detail appears on the Bespoke door sills at the entrance to the car.
Engine nameplate
An exclusive Bespoke badge on the hood indicates that this is the last V12 engine to be fitted to a Rolls-Royce coupe. Crafted from a single piece of polished metal, the plaque features the V12 monogram in bright yellow and Final Coupé Collection lettering in black.
All 12 cars of the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow collection have already found their customers.
