Crossover of the future from Mitsubishi. This is a family car and SUV

Must read

Mitsubishi has chosen the Japan Mobility Show 2023 to showcase the electrified Mitsubishi D:X Concept MPV crossover. On a more casual note, Trzy Diamonds also revealed the new L200/Triton.

The Mitsubishi D:X Concept is an electrified crossover MPV, that is, an SUV, SUV and family car rolled into one. It has a spacious interior and references the Delica, but shows its version of the future.

The car has big fenders and big tires. Front and rear skid plates, as well as side step pads, suggest that it can be ridden in challenging road conditions.

The visual appearance of the car is created by laser projection headlights and characteristic T-shaped lights, which flare out to the sides, optically widening the silhouette at the front.

The monobox can accommodate seven passengers. It has panoramic swivel seats that move up and down, and a windshield that flows into a transparent hood (displaying a combination of information such as the road conditions in front of the car and the steering angle of the front wheels). The cabin, in turn, is suspended in the air.

The interactive voice communication system AI Concierge informs about routes to destinations, weather conditions and other important issues.

4WD electric drive

The four-wheel drive system is handled by S-AWC Dynamics Control. The system allows the driver to confidently drive the car regardless of conditions, and passengers to drive comfortably with minimal tilt. Despite the high monobox, the Mitsubishi D:X Concept drives like a regular passenger car.

The vehicle uses a PHEV drive system. It offers the driver an electric mode for daily commuting and a hybrid mode for long trips. You can choose between different driving modes depending on the surface and conditions.
