The Italians started selling in Poland a new Tonale model with a hybrid in two modifications corresponding to the time. Now they have also offered a diesel engine, because they say that such a car is waiting for managers. How much does a diesel car cost?
Alfa Romeo is just starting to take orders for the new Alfa Romeo Tonale, with a 130-horsepower 1.6-liter engine mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (TCT). The new model is characterized by increased dynamics and lower fuel consumption.
Alfa Romeo Tonale for Business
The engine, very popular not only in Italy, is a tribute to business customers and is intended for fleet managers and customers who often travel long distances. In addition, the diesel Tonale has specific technical solutions such as direct steering, electronic braking system and Dynamic Torque Vectoring (dynamic torque control).
The Tonale diesel version complements the Alfa Romeo hybrid SUV: in just three months, more than 3,000 orders have already been placed, and early buyers are just picking up their new cars.
Diesel Tonals at the price of a mild hybrid
The Alfa Tonale diesel engine is already available to order at Alfa Romeo dealerships and will be physically available at dealerships in September 2022. Therefore, the range was supplemented by a 1.6-liter diesel engine with 130 hp. and maximum torque of 320 Nm in combination with a dual clutch transmission (TCT) for increased dynamics while reducing fuel consumption.
What is interesting and unique for the Alfa Romeo brand is that the prices for diesel and hybrid engines (130 hp) are the same, which distinguishes it from its current competitors, where the surcharge for a diesel engine is even several thousand zł.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale is the only model in its class to feature the Brembo Integrated Braking System (IBS) and 4-piston fixed calipers with self-ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear.
The new Alfa Romeo Tonale diesel engine offers Alfa Romeo’s Dynamic Torque Vectoring self-locking differential and FSD Frequency Selective Damping suspension as standard. Suspension on both axles has MacPherson architecture with specific, characteristic geometry and angles. The body mounts have been carefully designed to provide maximum rigidity.
