They were preparing an attempt on the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: a Russian sniper agent was detained near Zaporozhye

The SBU detained the Kremlin agent on duty. The FSB sniper “Phantom” was preparing an assassination attempt on the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporozhye, the intelligence service reported.

The detainee was part of the FSB agent network, which on May 9 this year was preparing an attempt on the command of the Defense Forces in the Zaporozhye region.

On the eve of this day, the SBU detained two more organizers of the enemy group. Subsequently, their accomplice was exposed, who hid weapons and ammunition in his own apartment under the bed of his 6-year-old daughter.

“Now the Ukrainian special service has tracked down the fourth member of the FSB agent network with the call sign “Phantom”. After a series of detentions of his henchmen, he “lay low” and thus tried to avoid punishment.- the message says.

According to the investigation, the defendant turned out to be a resident of the regional center, a former military man, who was skilled in shooting from the Vintorez silent-shooting sniper rifle. These weapons are produced in Russia and are primarily used by special forces units of the aggressor country.

It was with such a rifle that the Phantom was supposed to encroach on the command of the combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighting on the front line of the southern front.

After the neutralization of other members of the undercover group on the Phantom, the FSB representative subsequently came out again.
During the communication session, he set a new task for his agent - to correct the enemy strike on the front positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using Russian Solntsepek flamethrower systems.

To collect intelligence about the locations of the Ukrainian defenders, the person involved tried to “blindly” use his acquaintances from the front-line regions of the region.

As a result of a multi-stage special operation, the Security Service officers detained a Russian agent and thus prevented an enemy strike on the advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During searches at the detainee’s place of residence, more than half a thousand cartridges of various calibers were seized, including 308 win cartridges for firing from a sniper rifle.

Based on the collected evidence, the defendant is planned to be informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrator faces life imprisonment.

Recall that recently in the Sumy region, the SBU detained a supporter of the “Russian world”, who “leaked” information to the enemy about the locations of the Defense Forces in the regions of Sumy region bordering on the Russian Federation.
