In Ukraine, from May 1, the mandatory inclusion of daytime running lights or dipped beam is abolished for drivers. This requirement is due to the need for additional designation of the vehicle in conditions of insufficient visibility in the autumn-winter period.
So, according to clause 9.8 of the SDA, from May 1, for Ukrainian drivers, the mandatory inclusion of daytime running lights or, in their absence, low beam headlights in the daytime while driving outside settlements will be canceled.
Between October 1st and May 1st, it is an offense to drive with the dipped headlights or running lights off. In this case, the driver faces a fine of 425-510 UAH.
As FACTS wrote, in Ukraine they again want to tighten sanctions for violating road safety - the corresponding bill was registered in the Rada by people’s deputies from the Servant of the People.
Also recently, the government made some changes to the procedure for checking drivers for drugs, alcohol or other intoxication.
