In the Vinnytsia region they said goodbye to defender Alexei Banit. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend his homeland. He died on December 1 during military operations in the Donetsk region, near Bakhmut, which the Russian invaders continue to storm.
According to the Dashevsky council, the warrior was only 20 years old. Teachers and classmates remembered him as a sociable and active student. Since his school years, the young man has never been afraid to take responsibility in resolving difficult situations.
After graduating from school in 2020, Alexey entered the Lviv Technical College at the Lviv Polytechnic University, where he received the profession of a software engineer. But during a full-scale invasion, Alexey could not stand by and enlisted in the Lviv terrorist defense units. Already in March 2022, the young man was considered a soldier of military unit A7394, and subsequently became a soldier of the 125th Terror Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Alexey served in military service in the hottest spots.

The defender was buried with full military honors. After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and volleys of machine gun fire, the military handed over a blue and yellow flag to Alexei’s mother with words of condolences and gratitude for her son.
The other day, Vinnitsa saw off another of its heroes, 49-year-old military man Alexander Lutsenko, on his last journey.
