As a result of unfavorable weather conditions in the Kyiv region, cases of flooding in the private housing sector have become more frequent.

Andrey Nebitov, head of the regional headquarters of the National Police, spoke about the tragic incident in the village of Peskovtsy, where a man died from electric shock in a flooded basement.

“Going down into the flooded basement, a 29-year-old young man turned on the light by his own negligence. He died on the spot from electrocution.Nebitov said.

He urged citizens to follow safety rules and take care of their lives.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that an increased level of floods as a result of precipitation is also predicted in the capital.

Partial flooding of territories in the summer cottages of the Resurrection Gardens, Rusanovsky Gardens, Osokorki, Poznyaki, Cherry is possible. The flooding of the near-channel sections of the Koncha-Zaspa massif is reliable.

Residents are urged to be careful and follow safety rules.

Recall that in March in Vishnevoe near Kiev, two teenagers climbed onto freight cars and were electrocuted. One guy died on the spot, the other with 1st degree facial burns and acute shock was taken to the hospital.

Earlier, in Novye Petrivtsi near Kiev, a 14-year-old boy who touched a transformer died from an electric shock.
