Jealousy often leads to trouble. So, this year in the Odessa region, a man strangled and burned the body of his common-law wife - the attacker faces up to 15 years in prison. But a resident of the Kiev region for such a crime can go to jail for the rest of his life.
According to the GDNP in the Kyiv region, an indictment was sent to the court on the fact of the murder of a 66-year-old resident of Irpin by her partner.
“On January 22, the police received a report that a man doused gasoline and set fire to a woman. In a state of severe shock with burns to the head, neck, torso, arms, legs and respiratory tract, the victim was hospitalized in the burn center of the capital. Subsequently, on February 4, the woman died in the hospital.”- reported Andriy Nebitov, head of the Kiev region police.
The police detained a man who explained that a quarrel arose between him and his common-law wife because of jealousy. During the conflict, he went to the garage, took a plastic bottle of gasoline, doused the woman and set her on fire. He was charged with premeditated murder with special cruelty (clause 4, part 2, article 115 of the Criminal Code).
We will remind that recently in the Nikolaev area the man who cruelly killed the 84-summer woman was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment. A resident of Snigirevka, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, during a quarrel, doused his 84-year-old mother-in-law with gasoline and set it on fire.
