The Government of Ukraine has adopted a resolution on the indexation of pension and insurance payments. Recalculations are made by the Pension Fund without additional requests from pensioners, based on the materials of pension files.

According to the resolution, the size of the increase as a result of the recalculation of pensions from March 1 cannot be less than UAH 100 and more than UAH 1,500.
Pensions assigned in accordance with the laws “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”, “On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster” and “On Pension Provision for Persons Dismissed from Military Service and Certain Other Persons” (persons from the number of military personnel military service) are transferred using the coefficient of increase in the average wage taken into account for calculating pensions in the amount of 1.197.
For pensions assigned before December 31, 2022, the amount of which has not increased since March 1, 2023, a monthly supplement of UAH 100 is established.
The size of military pensions assigned in accordance with the law “On pensions for persons discharged from military service and certain other persons” (except for persons from among military servicemen) are increased by an increase factor of 1.197. The increase is subject to the size of the pension without allowances.
An increase in the size of the minimum disability pensions for servicemen and victims of the Chernobyl disaster will also occur by a factor of 1.197.
From March 1, the government adopted the establishment of additional payments up to the minimum amount of payments to pensioners:
- those who have reached the age of 65, not working and having a full insurance record of 30/35 years - up to 3120 UAH;
- who are over 80 years old and have an insurance record of 20/25 years - up to 3120 UAH;
- at the age of 70 to 80 years, having an insurance record of 30/35 years - up to 3120 UAH;
- under the age of 70 (working), having an insurance record of 30/35 years and persons with a disability of group I - up to 3000 UAH;
- other categories of pensioners who do not work (regardless of age and the law according to which the pension is assigned) - up to 2520 UAH.
Monthly insurance payments to victims of an accident at work and an occupational disease that caused disability, and to persons entitled to insurance payments in the event of the death of the victim, in accordance with the Law on Compulsory State Social Insurance, are transferred using an increase factor of 1.197.
The transfer is made within the maximum amount of the monthly insurance payment, which is four minimum wages (UAH 6,700 x 4 = UAH 26,800).
The amount of the increase as a result of the transfer of monthly insurance payments cannot exceed UAH 1,500.
In addition, for working pensioners who acquired the right to recalculate pensions as of March 1, 2023, pension recalculations are carried out from April 1, 2023.
Also, from July 1, the size of pensions assigned in accordance with the laws “On Public Service”, “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies”, “On the Status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine”, “On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities” are subject to an increase by a factor of 1.197.
10.557 million Ukrainian pensioners fall under the indexation of pensions. UAH 82 billion is needed from the state budget for the indexation of pensions in 2023.
Recall, earlier it was reported that additional payments to the pension will not be indexed.
