President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the fierce battles going on in Soledar, and separately noted the fighters of the 46th separate airmobile brigade defending the city.
He spoke about the situation on the battlefield in the Donetsk region, the constant Russian assaults and the fact that Russia does not count its people, does not spare the locals and does not stop at any criminal activity, he spoke during a conversation with European leaders: the President of the European Council, with the Prime Minister Minister of Belgium, President of Estonia and Prime Minister of Ireland. “It can and should! - to oppose a new level of modern military equipment that Ukraine can receive from partners. I thank all the leaders who help us for understanding that now is the time for new powerful solutions, for new powerful support.”- he said in another video message.
According to Zelensky, the free world has everything it needs to stop Russian aggression and bring the terrorist state to historic defeat, which is important not only for Ukraine, but for all those who value freedom: “Together with partners we must do it - and we do it! - everything to make it clear to the owners of Russia right now: neither their escalation will help them. The defeat of Russian aggression must remain uncontested for everyone and everything whom and what Russia will try to throw into battle.
The President added that since his visit to Washington, he had already held about thirty talks with the leaders and representatives of the partner states. “And it is literally felt every day when the world’s determination to overcome Russian aggression is growing”Vladimir Zelensky added.
He also said that on the basis of materials prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, and in accordance with the Constitution, he decided to terminate the citizenship of four people: Andriy Derkach Leonidovich, Taras Romanovich Kazak, Renat Ravelievich Kuzmin and Viktor Vladimirovich Medvedchuk.
“If people’s deputies choose to serve not the people of Ukraine, but the murderers who came to Ukraine, then our actions will be appropriate”the president summed up.
Recall that the people’s deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life, Taras Kozak, who is under US sanctions, fled to Russia even before the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Criminal proceedings were opened against him for treason, as well as against his colleague, Viktor Medvedchuk. The latter was detained while trying to leave the country after the start of the Russian invasion and was exchanged for the defenders of Mariupol.
The sanctioned Andrey Derkach was directly called a Russian agent in the United States, emphasizing his role in attempts to interfere in American elections and discredit Joe Biden. The Ukrainian special service believes that he was in charge of the intelligence network of the Russian General Staff in Ukraine.
Another people’s deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life, Renat Kuzmin, is also suspected of treason.
