In Bucha near Kiev, which survived the Russian occupation, on December 12, they finish installing the New Year tree on Kievskaya Square, TSN reports.
Before installing the Christmas tree, a survey was conducted on the Internet. Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk asked the opinion of residents and asked to write it in the comments. Most of the townspeople were in favor.
It should be noted that the Christmas tree and decorations for it are set last year. According to the mayor, the illumination on the Christmas tree will not be turned on to save electricity.

“So the New Year’s holiday will not pull special expenses. It is clear that there will be no such holidays as in previous years. Children, however, need a small, but real holiday, ”Fedoruk noted.
The Christmas tree in Bucha is located next to the central “Invincibility Point” on Kievskaya Square.
Recall that Bucha has been under Russian occupation since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The Russian military on heavy equipment entered the city on the morning of February 27, 2022. On March 31, the invaders left Bucha. During the 33 days of occupation, the Russian military killed and tortured hundreds of civilians in the city. The massacres were called the “Buchan massacre”.
