In Kyiv, where the day before they resumed the supply of water to the homes of citizens, by the end of Friday, November 25, power engineers plan to connect electricity to all consumers in turn.
The lights will be on for three hours, the mayor said Vitaliy Klichko .
“A third of Kyiv’s houses are already warm. Specialists continue to resume heating in the capital. Half of consumers are still without electricity, – said the mayor.
Shutdowns occur throughout the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrenergo does not turn off specific houses, streets or cities, but only provides regional energy companies with volumes (MW) by which consumption should be reduced. The company also noted that even under worst-case scenarios, they have a recovery plan.
Recall that the Russian missile attack on Ukraine on November 23 led to damage to energy facilities in all Ukrainian regions and the emergency shutdown of three nuclear power plants. Incl. in Kyiv on the morning of November 25, more than 50% of household consumers were left without electricity.
