Terrible AI calculations. It could take up to 300 million jobs

Must read

In recent weeks, new versions of services based on artificial intelligence have become available to Internet users. The most famous are ChatGPT and Bard, but there are many more such tools. Experts have bad news.

Artificial intelligence has recently burst into our lives. Almost everyone who uses the Internet has already dealt with one or more AI-based services.

Artificial intelligence will take our jobs

With the sudden development of the next wave of artificial intelligence, there are more and more questions about the consequences of such a widespread adoption of this technology. Programs such as ChatGPT can replace some of the activities that have until now been the prerogative of humans.

Analysts at Goldman Sachs decided to check whether concerns about the development of AI and its impact on the labor market are justified. The results of their analysis are appalling. One of the world’s largest banks estimates that up to 300 million people around the world could lose their jobs due to the latest wave of AI-powered services.

According to a report prepared by economists at Goldman Sachs, as much as 18 percent. all work can be mechanized. Lawyers and administrative workers were listed among the most disappearing professions. In the United States and Europe, artificial intelligence may be implemented to some extent in two-thirds of all jobs.

Boss Axel Springer warns reporters

In early March, the head of publishing house Axel Springer, who owns publications such as Insider, Politico, Bild or even Onet, wrote an email to his journalists warning them against artificial intelligence. Matthias Döpfner wrote that “artificial intelligence can improve independent journalism or replace it entirely”.

In his opinion, soon AI will be able to collect information much better. So he urged his journalists to switch to much more opinion-forming and original content. Things the machine can’t do for them.

What is artificial intelligence? Is there anything to be afraid of?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of science that deals with the creation of computer programs and systems capable of performing tasks that would normally require human intelligence. AI is based on algorithms and mathematical models that allow you to analyze data and make decisions automatically.

Artificial intelligence uses many technologies such as neural networks, machine learning, image and natural language recognition, and robotics. In practice, AI is used in various fields such as medicine, industry, transportation, finance, and even art.

The goal of artificial intelligence is to create programs and systems that can think and act like humans using advanced information technology. Thanks to this, AI allows you to automate many tasks and processes, which increases efficiency and saves time and costs.

While artificial intelligence has many benefits, there are also concerns about its potential negative impacts, such as unemployment or loss of privacy. Therefore, it is important that AI development is carried out responsibly and in accordance with ethical standards.
