The Turkish company Baykar, best known for the Bayraktar drones delivered to Ukraine, does not stop there. Tests of the latest combat vehicle are already taking place in northwestern Turkey. Kisilelma has an impressive performance and spare parts contracted in Ukraine.

“Kizilelma” is able to move at a speed of more than 900 km / h thanks to the Ukrainian TRD “Ivchenko-Progress” AI-322F and AI-25TLT. They were ordered by Baykar Makina back in 2021, before the Russian invasion.
The huge machine weighs more than 5.5 tons and can take on board an additional 1.5 tons of cargo. Its range is 930 km, with a flight altitude of just over 10.6 km. It can stay in the air for about five hours.
After successfully passing the tests, “Kizilelma” should be offered by “Baikar” in 2023. The company immediately stated that Russia would not be able to purchase this equipment, as well as other weapons from the company’s portfolio.
What can the Kizilelma drone do?
The Turks claim that the latest drone is perfect, for example, for the armed forces. in the tasks of destroying enemy air defenses. It can also escort friendly helicopters and other aircraft with human pilots.
According to technical director Selçuk Bayraktar, Kizielma is the future of military aviation. The car is capable of very aggressive maneuvers, and the behavior of the car is based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms.
The drone has the ability to autonomously move on the ground and can take off on its own. To do this, he needs a short runway and he can take off even from the deck of a light aircraft carrier.
