iPhone 14 and Phone 14 Plus offer improved 5G connectivity and improved support for eSIM, a GSM technology without a physical nanoSIM card. The company’s phone also offers car crash detection, just like the latest Apple Watch.

According to earlier rumors, the iPhone 14 supports satellite communications. The feature that uses it is an emergency SOS signal that the user can send even when out of cellular coverage. If, for example, we get lost in the mountains, we can still send emergency messages in case of an emergency. A special application will tell the user where to point the iPhone, which should “point” directly towards a specific satellite.

Apple is also introducing a brand new Always on Display feature, ie. displaying basic information even when the screen is off. Screen refresh may be slowed down to 1 Hz to save power.

The heart of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is the latest A16 Bionic chip. It features faster processor speed and up to 40 percent efficiency. higher than competitors. A 5-core GPU should have half the memory bandwidth. The data space is no more than 1 TB.

Another novelty is a much higher resolution wide-angle lens - 48 MP (last year’s model had 12 MP). A four-pixel sensor should be 65 percent. larger than the iPhone 13 Pro and captures much more light.

The telephoto lens has been upgraded from 6 to 7 lenses and is expected to provide 2x optical zoom. Other magnification options provided are 0.5x, 1x, 2x, and 3x. The ultra wide-angle lens (12 MP) has also been improved.

The device’s battery should “last all day,” but Apple hasn’t disclosed the cell’s capacity. The phone connector is still Lightning, so the USB-C rumors have not been confirmed.
